A Note About Core Testing
We have learned much to our relief, that 2nd grade will not have online end-of-year testing this year. This will allow the 2nd grade teachers more time to cover core concepts. We have set testing dates, May 4-8. I ask that your child not miss any school if possible since we will be heavily reviewing math and language art concepts during the month of April. If you have any questions, please respond here, or call me at school. Thanks!

A "Seussical" Day!
Our class had a ziferous zooferous day
Celebrating Dr. Seuss in fundiferous ways!
We read books by the author
Even Green Eggs and Ham
We ate them with Mrs. Shiner
But not Sam I Am
We made our own fish
from McElligot's Pool
Yes, a fun day we had
Yesterday morning, at school.

Rocks Have Got to Wait!
We learned today that we will begin core testing April 27th. Our testing this year will be online and I expect things to go well. Since there are only 7 weeks until testing, we will be focusing on math and language arts instruction. This means that our rock projects will have to wait until after testing. This actually works out better since most of the rocks are still burried under inches of snow! I know the kids were excited, but like all good things, they'll just have to wait!
